Recently I shot a couple simple images for Eight Sin label with beautiful model Gabriela Dvořáková. Light set up was very simple, contained only one light plus one reflector.
Model - Gabriela Dvořáková
Hair - Michal Moučka http://www.vlasovymag.com/
MUA - Eva Vodňanská http://vizart.cz/
Clothes - Eight Sin http://www.eighthsin.eu/
According to conditions I did images with one 21" beauty dish (1x500W) + honeycomb and 80x140cm silver reflector (to break a bit of shadows, not really very visible). This could be a proof for "photographers that are broke" you can take okay images without tons of lights. Also if you simply can´t carry all the gear, it might work this way. Of course, it must be clear to all who personally knows me, I prefer more light sources. I start with one and end up with like 5light sources with no bigger problem. If I have an option, I always use more lights but it´s not necessary to have them from the start. If I had 10 lights, I would be able to use them at the same time. These images were taken on Canon 5D MKII + Canon 24-70mm/f2,8. Images are not as much retouched as I usually do since the result had to be simple.
